Autumn is here in Nordic+

News

The summer may be coming to an end, but for Nordic+, the autumn is just getting started.

Over the coming months, we will bring together experts, public authorities, industry and researchers from across the Nordic and Baltic region through a series of webinars, forums and international activities. From customer-centric mobility and digital rail to cyber resilience and autonomous transport, the programme reflects the topics shaping the future of connected and sustainable transport. If your organisation would like to contribute, host an activity, share knowledge or simply become part of the network, we would love to hear from you.

One of the highlights this autumn is the Nordic+ Autonomy Forum. As automated transport moves beyond pilot projects, the discussion is changing. The focus is no longer on whether the technology works, but on how we move towards deployment, build public trust, create viable business models and integrate autonomous services into tomorrow’s transport systems. Following the success of our first online meeting, we look forward to continuing the conversation in Oslo on October 27, bringing together decision-makers and experts from across Nordic+ and Europe.

Our Study Tour to Japan is also nearly full. The programme is coming together exceptionally well, with confirmed meetings with leading Japanese organisations working on automation, digital infrastructure, rail and intelligent transport systems. We are looking forward to sharing the final programme shortly.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce our first Nordic+ Cross Border Forum, taking place in Helsinki on 12-13 May 2027. This will become the leading Nordic meeting place dedicated to cross-border transport cooperation, interoperability, innovation, security and export opportunities. If your organisation works internationally, this is one event you will want to keep on your calendar.

Planning has also started for the Nordic+ Pavilion at ITS World Congress Birmingham 2027, and we are pleased to see strong interest already. Four forward-looking companies have secured their place more than a year in advance, demonstrating the value of a strong Nordic presence on the global stage.

Alongside these activities, our autumn webinar series will cover customer experience across transport, rail digitalisation and cyber resilience, continuing Nordic+’s ambition to connect people, ideas and organisations across borders.

We look forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces throughout the autumn. Whether you join a webinar, participate in the Autonomy Forum, travel with us to Japan or save the date for Helsinki, we hope you will be part of the growing Nordic+ community!
