The Norwegian Mapping Authority, in collaboration with Euro SDR and EUREF, is holding a workshop on reference frames in Tromsø, Norway, in October.
The national mapping and geodesy communities are responsible for simplifying the use of positions and coordinates across Europe. It is important to avoid national and local variations of reference frames both horizontally and vertically. The Norwegian Mapping Authority’s aim is to simplify the use of geodata and the emphasis should be on ensuring that even those without geodetic expertise can seamlessly use geographical data from different sources and share data across national borders.
European cooperation is a cornerstone for effectively dealing with these challenges – and therefore The Norwegian Mapping Authority, in collaboration with Euro SDR and EUREF, is holding a workshop on this on 22th-23th of October at Framsenteret in Tromsø, Norway.
