A joint conference for development, cooperation and safety in Nordic public transport.

The public transport sector has set ambitious goals for sustainable freedom of movement. In the times we are in, these goals are being challenged in new ways. Geopolitical tensions are placing new demands on security and preparedness. Climate change and increasing extreme weather are challenging materials and infrastructure. Tighter finances are impacting service offerings and important development work. At InformNorden & Kollektivkonferansen 2025, they are bringing together the public transport sector from all five Nordic countries. Here we will learn from each other’s experiences, be inspired by each other’s progress and discuss together how, despite challenges, we will succeed in creating an attractive, robust and future-proof transport system for all. The public transport family in the Nordic region has always had a tradition of sharing and learning from each other. In an uncertain world characterized by rapid development, both the benefits and the importance of cooperation are higher than ever.

Kollektivkonferansen is the annual meeting place for everyone who works with or has an interest in public transport, mobility and sustainable freedom of movement. The conference is organized by the Kollektivtrafikkforeningen, which is a national trade organization for public actors who plan, purchase and market public transport and mobility services.

In 2025, they have chosen to merge Kollektivkonferansen, Norway’s most important meeting place for the public transport and mobility industry, and InformNorden, the Nordic mobility and technology conference that is organized on a rotating basis by public transport companies in the capital cities of the developing countries, and to hold them as one unified event. The decision to merge is both practical and principled: the conferences were planned for approximately the same time and place, with closely overlapping target groups and themes. By holding the conferences in teams, we can join forces on a strong professional program and create an even broader meeting place for the industry. With one event instead of two, it will also help the sector use its resources wisely at a time when many are experiencing tight budgets.
